The idea
What is a Legacy Pledge?
It's not about death. It's about making your values visible while you're here.
A statement of goodwill
A simple, public expression of a wish you hold today — no forms, no lawyers.
Not a legal will
It does not replace proper estate planning. It points the way and makes your intention known.
A first step
It helps the people you love understand what matters to you — and how to honour it.

From the founder
I built My Loved Ones to make the Legacy Pledge a new social norm — so leaving a little to a cause you love becomes an ordinary, visible act, not a rare one.

Why it matters
Good intentions often stay invisible
Many of us care about a cause we would love to support one day. But "one day" is easy to postpone. A will feels formal. A family conversation feels awkward. So the wish usually stays unsaid.
Before
“I should think about this someday.”
After
“My loved ones know what matters to me.”
What people say
The 1% that stays with people
A small, public promise — and what it can mean.

Marta
Entrepreneur
“I'd given to causes for years, quietly. Making my pledge public — pointing at what I believe in — felt like the most honest thing I've done.”

Leo
Student
“I don't have much yet — but 1% of whatever I leave one day? That I can promise now. It took two minutes and it felt good.”

Henry
Retired teacher
“At my age you think about what lasts. My pledge is a small line, but it says exactly what I stood for — my grandchildren will read it one day.”

David
Small-business owner
“No forms, no lawyers, no pressure. I named the cause I love, my family keeps the rest, and now it's out in the open.”

Sofia
Nurse
“I see every day how much good a little help does. Pledging 1% made my values part of my legacy, not just my week.”

Clara
Homemaker
“I showed my kids my pledge card. It started the best conversation we've ever had about what actually matters to us.”
Illustrative examples — composite voices, not specific individuals. We'll replace these with real, consented stories as pledgers choose to share them.
The honest answers
Questions people ask
A public pledge can feel new. Here's what it really means.
Does this obligate me to anything?
No. A pledge is not a will and not a legal document. It obligates neither you nor your loved ones — it is simply an expression of your wish, made public to inspire others.
What if my loved ones think something is wrong?
They won’t. You share it as part of a public campaign, and we email you a note explaining it that you can forward to your family — so everyone understands it’s about your values, not your health.
What if I change my mind?
No problem — change it as often as you like. Nothing here is binding; only a real will is legally effective. Your pledge stays a public expression of your goodwill, nothing more.
