Welcome to My Loved Ones ("Mylo," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website at mylo.family and any associated services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
My Loved Ones is an AI-guided legacy planning platform that helps individuals organize their personal, material, and business legacies. The Service provides interactive planning tools, guided conversations, and document generation to help you create structured instructions and materials for your loved ones.
The Service includes four areas of focus: Intangible Legacy (letters, life lessons, and personal messages), Material Legacy (asset inventories, contact lists, and practical instructions), Digital Legacy (digital assets, subscriptions, and digital memories), and Business Legacy (succession planning tools).
Once you have an account, the work you save inside the Service is encrypted in your browser using the same password you use to log in, before it reaches our servers. You can return to continue editing across sessions and devices. Public tools you can use without an account (the free quiz, the free planning tool, articles) keep your answers in your browser session only and clear them when you close the tab.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes become effective when posted. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
3. Account Requirements
To use certain features of the Service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Payment Terms
My Loved Ones offers both free and paid plans. The paid plan is a monthly subscription at €9.97/month, which can be cancelled at any time.
- All payments are processed securely through Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider.
- Prices are displayed in EUR.
- After subscribing, you receive immediate access to all features included in the plan.
- Access continues as long as your subscription is active. Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period.
Refund Policy
We offer a 14-day refund period from the date of purchase. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, contact us at team (at) mylo.family within 14 days of payment to request a full refund. After 14 days, purchases are non-refundable.
5. Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain full ownership of all content you create using the Service, including letters, inventories, plans, and any other documents. We do not claim any rights to your content.
In our public tools (no account required), your content never reaches our servers — it exists only in your browser and in any files you choose to download.
Inside your account, your content is encrypted in your browser before it leaves your device, using a key derived from your password. We store the resulting ciphertext on our servers, but we do not hold the key required to decrypt it. The vault is engineered so neither Mylo staff nor our cloud providers can read your data. Our Platform
The Service, including its design, features, code, prompts, questions, branding, and all associated materials, is owned by My Loved Ones and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our written permission.
6. Encrypted Vault — Your Responsibility
By saving work inside your account, you accept the following:
- Your password protects your saved work. In password-derived vault accounts, the password you log in with also derives, in your browser, the key that encrypts your saved data. We do not keep a decryption key. Some older accounts may use a legacy split-key vault while they are being migrated; in either model, Mylo cannot read your saved content.
- No plaintext recovery support. If your vault key is lost, your saved data becomes permanently unreadable. We cannot unlock it, restore it, or read its contents on your behalf. This is a deliberate consequence of the zero-knowledge design and is the only way the privacy guarantees on this page can be honest.
- Save your password somewhere you trust. A password manager, a physical note, or any place you reliably go back to. Forgetting it is the only way to lose access to your data.
- Password resets do not decrypt your vault. In password-derived vault accounts, resetting your account password requires deleting the old encrypted vault row because the old data can no longer be opened with the new password. Where this applies, the reset flow shows an explicit warning before it runs.
- Backups are encrypted too. We keep daily encrypted backups of your vault ciphertext for 30 days in off-site storage. These backups protect you against database failures on our side; they do not let us read or recover your data without your password.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use the Service to transmit harmful, offensive, or misleading content
- Share your account credentials with others
8. Limitations of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not responsible for any loss of data that occurs on your device.
- We are not responsible for the loss of vault content that follows from a forgotten vault credential or from a password reset flow described in Section 6. The encryption design intentionally prevents us from accessing your vault even when you ask us to.
9. Important Disclaimers
My Loved Ones is an educational and organizational tool. The Service does not provide and should not be relied upon as a substitute for:
- Legal advice. The documents and materials generated by the Service are organizational tools, not legal documents. Always consult a qualified attorney for legal matters, including estate planning, wills, and trusts.
- Financial advice. Nothing on this platform constitutes financial, investment, or tax advice. Consult a qualified financial advisor for decisions about your assets and finances.
- Therapeutic services. The Empty Nest programs and other emotional content are for informational and reflective purposes only. They are not therapy or counseling. Consult a licensed mental health professional for therapeutic support.

10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time by contacting us at team (at) mylo.family.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union, including applicable consumer protection regulations. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the competent courts of the European Union. If you are an EU consumer, you also have the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
